Skin Care Festive Season
For the month of September, we are working on an article that focuses on special skin prep, skincare and skin damage control keeping the festive season in mind.
- Exfoliate regularly to remove the build up of excessive dead skin cells, dirt and sebum. This also helps to increase penetration of your serums and moisturisers so skin always looks more hydrated and clean
- Opt for in clinic microdermabrasion or Peel which are other mechanical and chemical ways to exfoliate skin. These procedures exfoliate skin in a controlled fashion and are much more effective than home exfoliation
- Cleanups, Hydrafacial treatments and or facials help to remove blackheds and whiteheads to keep your skin looking smooth and radiant. In the long run it will help with breakouts and can help to make your oprn pores look smaller
- Use non-comedogenic sunscreen with SPF 30 or more that will give you good protection from sunrays
- Eat antioxidant rich foods including lots of bright coloured vegetables and fruit in your meals
- Remove all makeup thoroughly at night, wash and apply serums and night recovery creams before retiring to bed
- Talk to your dermatologist about starting you on some retinol creams and serums for rejuvenation and repair
- Hydrate well. Freshly squeezed fruit juices, coconut water, plain water are all good
- Keep some radiance masks at home to use on the day of an event for an extra boost
