A Non-invasive procedure that changes the surface of the face by penetrating deep into the skin, leaving the surrounding area intact. It treats a “fraction” of the skin allowing for rapid healing.

FRAXEL DUAL uses two types of wavelengths- 1550 and 1927

1550 wavelength improves and smoothens the texture of the skin like fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars.

1927 wavelength improves any discoloration like hyperpigmentation, sun-damage, dark spots caused to the skin.

PROCEDURE

The skin is cleansed.

Then 60 minutes prior to the treatment,  a topical anaesthetic ointment is applied. The procedure takes as little as 20 minutes; depending on the size of the area being treated.

POST - TREATMENT 

During the first 24 hrs, the skin may feel sunburnt and appear pink or red. Makeup can be applied to reduce sunburn appearance.

The skin naturally bronze over a week or two. With continual sessions, sunburnt to bronzed appearance repeat. The skin will flake and exfoliate.

Moisturizer can be applied to reduce dry flakes.

NUMBER OF SESSIONS

Upto 5 sessions may be recommended, scheduled 2-4 weeks apart. Exact regimen depends on the skin condition.

Visibility of results

Results are immediate and progressive, with optimal improvement visible in 2-3 months. The skin continues to improve upto a year. This time frame allows for complete healing and production of new collagen and elastin growth. The results last depending on particular condition and how well the skin is taken care.

PRECAUTIONS

Continue to protect the skin by:

1)  Wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF-50 or higher.

2)  Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 3 months.

3)  Wear wide-brimmed hat when in the sun.
