Baby Botox
I wanted to know from a skin expert -
Have you heard of baby botox?
Baby botox is the same treatment as regular botox but just fewer number of units spread over a larger area so that there is residual muscle activity and the face is not totally expressionless. The overdone expressionless face that Hollywood actresses sported made the director Martin scorsese concerned enough so they started seeking lesser amounts of botox to make the faces look less frozen.
How is it different?
Baby botox differs in the just the number of botox units being injected. They are far lesser in baby botox so the result is not overdone, frozen or expressionless. These lesser number of units are also spread over a larger area
Are the results equally longlasting?
The results last the same duration as regular botox which is about 3- 4 months.
Does it work for all the facial features?
It works well in some areas such as forehead and crows feet
Do you recommend this specifically for certain clients?
This treatment is more suitable for those who are apprehensive of getting botoxed, first timers, young people in their twenties and early thirties, actresses or those in the performing arts and those that don’t want to look frozen.
Should people undergoing Botox for the first time go for this?
Baby botox is not new. There are some practioners that use fewer units of botox than the traditional units for certain areas. For several years now, we have stayed away from that dreaded ‘frozen look’ by employing fewer units in the treatment. By employing fewer units more younger people in their twenties and early thirties can do this as a preventive measure and the price at which you will be charged also decreases accordingly.
