Skin boosters have been in the market for a long time in the Indian market but the latest addition of yet another skin booster by another brand has once again created a hype.
Skin boosters are hyaluronic acid fillers that are injected in the skin to hydrate and improve elasticity. Unlike other hyaluronic acid fillers which are cross linked and give strength and lift to the skin, these skin boosters have non crosslinked hyaluronic acid. That makes the filler very fluid so it spreads easily.
When it is injected in the superficial layers of the skin, the hyaluronic acid molecules absorb several times its weight in water and help to hydrate the skin improving skin texture and elasticity. The injections also help to stimulate fibroblasts which in turn lay down precious collagen.

The injectable moisturisers as they are also called, can be injected on the face, neck, decollete and hands to hydrate and nourish. They can also be combined with other treatments such as lasers, ultherapy etc pre or post for more enhanced results.
